For most women hysterectomy is an event that relieves them of more than ill health and fatigue. It gives them a new horizon - an awareness of good health and the quality of life.  Sometimes the postives are clouded because of lack of information about the operation and the possible side effects.

This booklet was written by members of the now defunct, Hysterectomy Support Network, to provide a basic introduction to hysterectomy and to cover many of the questions that women would like answered.  It is written by Ann Webb, State Registered Nurse and we have only a limited number of copies left.
